What people are saying about Dong-A Korean Market(ks) Real feedback from customers who have visited us.
I stopped by Dong-A this morning to get snacks for my godchild’s Kpop Demon Hunters birthday party (she wanted some Korean snacks!) and the staff were so kind! The employee who helped me gifted me a box of snack cakes for the birthday party, told me about different snacks to try, and also offered me a drink for waiting which was so thoughtful. I’ll definitely come back to try new things soon 🥰 감사합니다 !
Dong-A Korean Market makes fresh kimchi every Tuesday — and we’re talking the kind that makes you want to eat a whole bowl of rice on the spot. On Fridays and Saturdays, they roll out fresh gimbap, triangle gimbap, and japchae that taste like they came straight from a Korean mom’s kitchen. The store is super clean and well-organized — seriously, even instant noodles seem to stand in neat little lines like they’re in military training. You can actually find what you’re looking for without doing laps around the store. The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming. Ask them how to cook a Korean dish, and next thing you know, you’re getting a full-on cooking tutorial in the snack aisle. Bonus: you’ll walk out feeling like you’ve leveled up in Korean home cooking. They also carry tons of trendy Korean products — from viral snacks to K-beauty goodies. And if something isn’t in stock? Just let them know! There’s a good chance it’ll show up a few weeks later like it heard you talking. It’s a bit out of the way from the city center, but that just means no fighting for parking spots or squeezing through crowds. It’s peaceful, chill, and full of delicious things — basically, my happy place.
If you're looking for Korean snacks, frozen foods & meats, or pantry staples, this is THE place to go. Forget the huge Asian supermarkets in the metro, this charming little market in the corner of the unassuming Silver Leaf shopping center on 12th & Eastern in Moore has everything you need (with the exception of a fresh meat / seafood counter), including a broad selection of house-made kimchi and banchan. While you're there Don't skip on the Dong-A Korean restaurant at the other end of the shopping center. IMO they have hands down the best Korean food in the metro.
Huge ramen selection and a lot of good products like home made kimchi and pickled veggies. They also have kimbap and japchae on Fridays and Saturdays. Really clean everytime I go too.
Outstanding family run store! It has an extensive collection of imported Korean foods. If you can’t find what you need here it doesn’t exist. For the K Pop fans and casuals who just like dry ramen, you’re goin to find an amazing assortment of ramen. Make this a destination in the near future when you want DIY Korean food
Always over this way when I visit Junk and Jewel thrift store, so I thought I would check them out. They have quite a bit of variety . They had authentic dumplings vs what you would get at Walmart or Crest. Lots of bubble tea products and other stuff Americans know about. What I loved most was the stuff I didn't know about. Although I only bought ice cream , I will be back to get other products. I love to venture out on cuisine and this market has a lot I want to try. Very clean. Well organized. Helpful staff.
